The 20-year-old impressed for Leeds United on Tuesday.

Speaking to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United boss Garry Monk has rubbished the notion that young left-back Tyler Denton can displace Charlie Taylor in the Whites’ best XI.
The 20-year-old announced himself to Monk and Leeds fans in style on Tuesday night by marking his debut with a fine winner during the 1-0 second-round League Cup victory at League Two outfit Luton Town.

Denton conducted himself very well overall as he replaced linked-away Taylor in the starting lineup – a game which saw the manager make 11 changes from Saturday’s win at Sheffield Wednesday.
The 38-year-old played down the idea of the youngster replacing Taylor indefinitely, admitting he will be a “very good player” one day but for now it is still about learning the game.
“Come on, he’s only played one game,” he told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“It was a fantastic debut but he’s still growing. Given time he’ll be a very good player. He’s an exciting prospect but at this moment he’s still learning.”

Taylor’s future at United remains uncertain after the 22-year-old’s transfer request was rejected by the club earlier this month, but the seven days remaining in the window allows for a twist.
Even if he ends up staying, Monk should still seek out a new left-back because relying on Denton as back-up might be a little shortsighted.
Yes he performed well against Luton, but Leeds are a Championship side and the reality is that they’ll be facing much better teams every week – and Denton is untested against them. It would be a big shock if he starts ahead of Taylor at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
