The Leeds United boss says two more players could be signed.
Leeds United boss Garry Monk has suggested to LUTV that he might be in the market for as many as two more players before the transfer window closes.
The Leeds manager has made seven signings this summer, with Pablo Hernandez, who arrived on a six-month loan from Qatari side Al-Arabi, being the latest addition.
But there is still 27 days left in the window and Monk has revealed that a “couple of others” could yet come in before the deadline on August 31.
“You’re always looking to strengthen,” he told LUTV.
“A couple of others would be good and that’s what we’re trying to work towards, but when it happens I’m sure you guys will know first.”
For now, the 38-year-old will be firmly focused on the squad in its current make-up as Leeds gear up for their Championship opener away to Queens Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
The former Swansea City boss has a fully-fit squad to choose from and there could be a host of United new boys in Sunday’s first XI at Loftus Road.
Hernandez followed Marcus Antonsson, Hadi Sacko, Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes, Kemar Roofe and Rob Green to Elland Road, but an arduous 46-match season awaits and the better the squad, the better their chances of promotion.
