Could Leeds United be busy in the January transfer window?
Leeds United manager Garry Monk has told The Yorkshire Evening Post that the club are aware of what he wants in the January transfer window.
Monk has revealed that Leeds co-owner Andrea Radrizzani and chairman Massimo Cellino know what he wants.
The former Swansea City manager has also stated that the club are working hard behind the scenes in order to bring in the players he wants.
Monk, though, has admitted that it is not easy to sign players in the January transfer window.
“January is not the easiest window to do your business with but the club are fully aware of what I feel that we need with the squad and they are working as hard as they can behind the scenes to make sure that can happen,” Monk told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
Leeds are going strong in the Championship at the moment and are in the running for a top-six finish.
The West Yorkshire outfit are currently fifth in the table with 45 points from 25 matches.
The Whites are exceeding expectations this season, but fans are certainly not complaining.
A top-two finish in the Championship this season is probably beyond Leeds, but that does not mean that the club should not invest in the squad in the January transfer window.
A striker who has a proven record in the division would be a good signing and would enhance Leeds’s chances of ending the season in the playoffs.
