Garry Monk says that the Swansea City managerial job was tougher than his current Leeds United role.

Garry Monk has revealed to The Guardian that he found the Swansea City managerial job tougher than his current role at Leeds United.
Monk was appointed as the interim player-manager of Swansea in February 2014 following the departure of Michael Laudrup.
The 37-year-old was given a three-year contract by the Welsh outfit in May 2014.

Under the former defender, the Swans enjoyed a successful 2014-15 Premier League campaign, finishing as high as eighth in the league table.
Swansea were expected by many to build on that success during the 2015-16 season, especially as Monk was handed a new three-year deal in the summer of 2015, but the Welsh side struggled for results.
Following a run of poor results and with the threat of relegation from the Premier League looming, the Swans sacked Monk as their manager in December 2015.

Monk was appointed as the Leeds head coach earlier this summer on a one-year rolling contract following the departure of Steve Evans.
“It was probably more difficult to manage at Swansea than it is being here,” Monk told The Guardian. “I have a refined way of working in terms of what I do and I’m able to do it with a blank canvas.”
Leeds will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season and stand a chance of getting promoted to the Premier League for the 2017-18 campaign.
