Leeds United will face Barnsley in the Championship this weekend.
Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has been quoted as saying by The Yorkshire Evening Post that his side will get better in attack.
“I think offensively we are going to get better,” The Yorkshire Evening Post quoted Monk as saying. “We have to try and push on now.”
Monk made the aforementioned comments prior to this weekend’s match between Leeds and Barnsley.
The Whites will take on Barnsley at Elland Road in Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The West Yorkshire outfit will head into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bristol City away from home at the Ashton gate Stadium in the league.
Leeds had chances in that match, but failure to take them cost them at least a point.
Playing at home against Barnsley will give the Whites an advantage, but Monk’s side will have to make sure that they take their chances.
Leeds have created as many as 83 chances in the Championship so far this season, but they have been able to score just 10 goals.
Monk’s side are 14th in the league table at the moment with 13 points from 10 matches.
Leeds are just four points behind Bristol City, who are currently sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
