Leeds go into their game hoping to bounce back following their defeat to Brighton.
Garry Monk has suggested that his team selection for Leeds United’s clash with Reading will be influenced by who looks ready to use the side’s recent defeat to Brighton as motivation, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
The Whites lost just their second league game in their last eight at the Amex Stadium as two penalties saw the Seagulls temporarily move to the top of the Championship.

United face an almost equally difficult task trying to get their play-off push back on track on Tuesday as they host the third place Royals at Elland Road.
And Monk explained that he would be more inclined to pick players who look ready to respond in the perfect manner for the clash with Jaap Stam’s side.
“The game [against Brighton] being on Friday gave us a bit of extra time to recover the players and assess them,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“We’ll see who’s ready to use the feeling and frustration in our performance on Tuesday. We’ve shown great reactions every time we’ve had a disappointment and we never feel happy when we don’t do ourselves justice.”
If the Whites can pick up a positive result against Reading, it will give them a tremendous boost of confidence going into the crucial Christmas period, during which time they face several sides currently occupying that mid-table region that it is so congested.
If they come through that run still inside the top six, they will undoubtedly have the belief that they can go on and secure a play-off spot.
