Leeds United have won five of their last six matches.
Leeds United boss Garry Monk has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that his side’s strong run of form has proven that they can be competitive at Championship level this term.
Leeds have won five of their last six matches to start accelerating up the second tier standings.
Leeds are now in 11th place in the Championship table, and they are just four points back from the play off places.

Monk is pleased with how things are going at Elland Road, after a slow start had put him under some pressure.
“You keep refining that plan and making it better. It was a difficult start but I tried to trust (the plan) and come through that, and we have done. We’ve come through it in the last month,” Monk said.
“That should give belief to the players that no matter what happens – because we will have ups and downs – we keep believing in what we’re doing. We know that we can win games and be very competitive. That’s been proven and that’s the good thing about the last seven games.”

Leeds’ form over the early part of the campaign was poor, and far below their best.
However, the Whites have shown their class in recent weeks, and optimism is growing at Elland Road.
Leeds have made their intentions of getting into the play offs clear this season, by offering season-tickets holders a part-refund if they do not make it into the top six.
It puts the pressure on Monk’s side to continue their strong run of results, even though the international break may have halted their momentum.
Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Derby County at the iPro Stadium.
