The Whites will travel to Anfield at the end of November.

Leeds United manager Garry Monk has told reporters, as quoted by the club’s official website, that he is “not interested” in the fact that his side have drawn Liverpool away in the EFL Cup quarter-final.

The Whites have a trip to Anfield to look forward to at the end of November in one of the more tasty ties of the last eight.

However, before then they have four Championship fixtures to contend with as they bid to continue their impressive recent form, which has seen them win seven and lose just two of their last 10 games in all competitions.

Whilst he acknowledged that the mouthwatering clash with Jurgen Klopp’s side is a day fro the supporters to eagerly await, Monk dismissed the fanfare surrounding the tie and insisted that he is “not interested” in talking about it until it is time.

The Whites boss said, via the club’s website: “I’m not interested in the draw, that is for everyone else to enjoy and our fans can be happy with it.

“I will talk more about that and the group will focus on Liverpool when the game comes, we have four league games before that and an international break.

“We have to be very aware on Saturday, it is very important and a big game for us, the cup has gone now and our only focus is Burton.”

By beating fellow Championship side Norwich City on penalties in midweek, Leeds booked their spot in the quarter-finals of a major cup competition for the first time in four years.

There is plenty of optimism at Elland Road at the moment, but Monk will be desperate to ensure that his side keep their momentum in the next month before their Anfield date.
