Whites boss Garry Monk spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and shared how many of his players deserve credit for their performances all season long, highlighting the fantastic team ethos currently present amongst the Leeds squad, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The club held their end of season awards night on Sunday, where New Zealand international Chris Wood was presented with the POTY accolade, after banging in 26 Championship goals this term.
Their relatively successful season, however, must be attributed to the fantastic team ethic that has been nurtured by Monk during his time in charge at Elland Road.
The West Yorkshire outfit have come on leaps and bounds this season, and despite their disappointing end to the campaign, there is a lot to be enthusiastic about as they head into next season, providing that they keep hold of their manager and a couple of their key men.
Monk spoke to reporters yesterday and lavished praise upon his group of players, insisting that each and every one of them has contributed to their campaign thus far, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post:

“When we had the awards dinner the other night for instance you could probably name five, six or seven that could be up for that award or for all the different awards. That shows how much all of them have contributed and it’s really been a team effort and that’s another thing that I concentrated on – the effort of the team, the togetherness, the spirit and the mentality.”
Leeds finish their Championship campaign with a trip to Wigan Athletic on Sunday, and barring a Fulham loss along with a miraculous swing in goal difference, the Whites will have to rebuild over the summer in preparation for another season in the Championship.
If they keep Monk at the helm, however, they will have every chance of succeeding where they fell short this term.
