Leeds United lost 1-0 to Bristol City yesterday, to bring to an end their run of four straight wins.

Garry Monk has insisted to BBC Radio Leeds that he has no intentions of criticising Leeds United winger Hadi Sacko.

Sacko has shown plenty of promise since signing for Leeds, but question marks still remain over his final ball.

The youngster has spurned some good opportunities, and he was particularly wasteful against Bristol City yesterday evening.

Sacko had a number of good chances to score at Ashton Gate, but he failed to take them as Leeds slipped to a 1-0 defeat.

The 22-year-old did receive some criticism from Leeds fans, but Monk was keen to defend the winger.

“We just keep giving the players confidence,” Monk said, when asked what he planned to do next with Sacko.

“The important bit is that we are getting into the right situations. We created enough chances to score a good few goals, but it wasn’t to be.”

Leeds’ defeat to Bristol City ended a run of four consecutive victories, which has pushed them up the Championship table.

Leeds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Barnsley at Elland Road.
