Leeds United are set to take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium tomorrow.
Garry Monk has suggested to BBC Radio Leeds that he is hopeful that Liam Cooper and Eunan O’Kane will be back in time for Leeds United’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow evening.
Both Cooper and O’Kane have been suffering with injury lately, but the pair returned to training early this week.
And Monk feels that they are now ready to come back into Leeds’ squad, although Liam Bridcutt is likely to remain sidelined.
“Coops is back out in training and we are very hopeful that Eunan is back,” Monk said.
“To have those two back in training is great. Liam is back out training, but we don’t think he’s ready for a competitive Championship match. He’s come back in a good condition, but we have to pick the right moment so we don’t have any set backs.”
Both Cooper and O’Kane may have to settle for places on the bench, when Leeds take on Brighton tomorrow.
Leeds won their last match against Aston Villa, meaning the pair face a fight to earn a place in the Whites’ starting line-up.
Leeds are currently in fourth place in the Championship table, and if they are able to pick up a victory tomorrow evening it will raise promotion hopes even further.
The Whites would move to within just four points of the top two, if they are able to beat Brighton tomorrow.
