Leeds United have made one permanent signing in the January transfer window so far.
Garry Monk has told BBC Radio Leeds that he still believes Leeds United need to sign two players during the January transfer window.
Leeds have been in brilliant form over the last few months, and they have climbed up to third in the Championship table.
However, Monk is keen to keep the Whites moving forward, and he insists that he wants additions during the January transfer window.
“We need one or two,” he said. “Well, we need two, in my eyes. But they have to be the right type of people and player, who can help this group. We need those two, we’ve had to suffer situations this season where we’ve had a few injuries or suspensions and we’ve had to make the line-up more makeshift.
“We’ve spoke internally and the club will work as hard as they can to make that happen.”
Leeds have already completed the signing of Pablo Hernandez, and they are expected to snap up Pontus Jansson on a permanent deal before the end of the month.
The Whites have also been linked with a host of other players, with a defender and a striker thought to be on Monk’s wishlist.
Leeds were short of cover in defence in their last match against Derby County, and their options up-front can be limited when Chris Wood is unavailable.
The Whites are next in action against Barnsley on Saturday at Oakwell.
