The Leeds United boss is having a good spell at Elland Road.
Garry Monk has certainly been making an impact at Leeds United this season. After his initial struggles, he has turned things around at Elland Road.
Leeds are currently sitting fourth in the Championship and also made it to the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup – where they were unfortunate to lose to Liverpool at Anfield.
Their current league position is the best they have been in under the ownership of controversial Italian businessman Massimo Cellino.

So is Mr. Cellino happy with the way things are going?
Monk was asked in his pre-Brighton press conference today whether he had been in contact with Cellino recently regarding their good form.
Monk told TV Yorkshire:

“I speak to him regularly. It is not always just about football it’s about a lot of things.
“Of course you can see the job that we’re doing and he’s happy with the work and the group and how the team are progressing so that’s important.
“But he also understands that we need a lot of improvement if we are to sustain what we’re doing.”
It seems that Monk has a good relationship with Cellino for the time being but the Leeds boss will no doubt remain on his guard.

The Italian is renowned for sacking managers with little thought and he also had a good relationship with Monk’s predecessor Steve Evans – who was tossed aside this summer.
Monk, who only signed a one-year deal at the club last summer, will no doubt be hoping to continue pleasing his boss for the rest of the season.
Then maybe Cellino will be handing out an extension, rather than a termination, to the Leeds boss.
