Leeds United head coach Garry Monk says defender’s substitution was a precaution, while defender is hopeful too.

Leeds United head coach Garry Monk has played down the injury to star defender Pontus Jansson.
The centre-back was substituted at half-time in the loss to Bristol City, with the scoreline level at the time.

Leeds went on to lose 1-0, underlining Jansson’s importance to the team, who had won four straight games heading into the fixture.
Monk insisted the substitution, with Liam Cooper coming on, was precautionary, although did not offer a timescale on his potential return.
That is because at this stage Leeds will not know themselves, with Jansson set to be examined by medics over the next 24 hours.
Jansson himself sent a message, insisting he was hopeful.
A clearer picture will emerge in Monk’s next press conference, ahead of this weekend’s Championship fixture at home to Barnsley.
Jansson is one of three natural centre-backs available to Leeds, with Sol Bamba recently released, although Luke Ayling could play in the position and partnered Kyle Bartley there at youth level for Arsenal.
