Leeds United beat Aston Villa 2-0 in the Championship this evening.
Leeds United picked up an impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Elland Road this evening, with manager Garry Monk and assistant boss Pep Clotet taking to Twitter after the game.
The Whites went into the game having lost 2-0 away at Liverpool in the EFL Cup in midweek, but returned to league action in the hope of making it five wins in the last six Championship games.

Opponents Villa were in great form themselves though having won four and drawn three of their games under new manager Steve Bruce, and the first half was a typically cagey encounter.
However, Leeds did make the breakthrough in the second half, as Kemar Roofe opened the scoring with his first goal for the club since his big-money summer move from Oxford United.

Villa pressed, looking for an equaliser, but Leeds sealed the win late on as Chris Wood bundled the ball home from close range to seal a 2-0 victory for the Whites.
The win means Leeds are now up in fourth place in the Championship table, seven points off an automatic promotion spot as Monk’s men continue their sensational recent form.
