Derby County are working on a deal to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea, with Frank Lampard keen on the youngster.

Mount is regarded as one of England’s top prospects, but he has struggled for game time at Chelsea.

The attacking midfielder could head out on loan again this season, and if he has international ambitions then the move to Derby County could have just become a lot more appealing.
According to the Derby Telegraph, Rams boss Frank Lampard is keen on Mount – and is working on a deal to bring him to Pride Park.

The youngster would surely play regularly at Derby, which could take him into the England national team.
And that could well serve as some motivation for Mason to take Derby up on their reported offer to give him a temporary home for a season.
