The Baggies face a very difficult run of games following the international break.

Gareth McAuley has insisted that West Bromwich Albion are looking forward to their daunting-looking run of games following the international break, the Express and Star reports.

Tony Pulis’ men host Tottenham in the first fixture following the break, and follow that up by taking on Liverpool and Manchester City before ending the run with a trip to Premier League champions Leicester City in early November.

But while some Baggies supporters may worry about how many points they will manage to take from that run, McAuley has insisted that the games should bring the best out of the team.

“There is a run of games against the so-called bigger teams but we have always traditionally done better against them,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “They are games we enjoy, games we want to get in our teeth into.

“We are not scared of it in any way and we will be looking forward to getting back after the international games.”

While the international break will kill a lot of momentum teams will have after their latest run of games, West Brom will be taking some belief from the way they have played recently.

Though they would have been disappointed to concede late on against Sunderland, they earned a point away at Stoke with a late goal and took apart West Ham at the Hawthorns, so will surely have plenty of belief going into what promises to be a tough spell for the club.
