West Bromwich Albion’s Gareth Barry could leave the club this summer.

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Gareth Barry says he wants to stay at the club for another season with his contract set to expire this coming summer, the Mirror report.
“The dream would be West Brom getting promoted and signing a new contract there. Let’s get, hopefully, the three games out of the way first. But I definitely want to play another year,” Barry explained.
The 38-year-old former Aston Villa academy graduate’s season is already over after suffering injury. He will miss the Baggies’ upcoming playoff clashes with his former club Villa.
But that hasn’t stopped Barry from plotting his future. With his contract set to expire this summer, the midfielder believes he still has another year in him and even at Premier League level.
Barry has been in and out of the starting XI this season. He has made a total of 24 Championship appearances, although only 15 of those were starts, with his last coming in the 4-0 defeat to Leeds United at Elland Road back in early March.
The 53-capped England international has made over 800 appearances throughout his career. After spells at Villa, Manchester City and Everton, he joined West Brom in the summer of 2017.

Barry holds the record for most Premier League appearances as an outfield player, surpassing Ryan Giggs’ tally of 632 back in 2017.
West Brom may decide to wait on his future when they know what division they are playing in next season.
