Everton midfielder Gareth Barry has reacted to scoring his first goal in over two years in the win over West Bromwich Albion, speaking to BBC Sport.
The midfielder was the winning goalscorer for the Blues at the Hawthorns on Saturday as he turned in header at the far post to help his side to a 2-1 victory.
It is fair to say his goal was something of a surprising one given the last time he managed to find the back of the net was against Norwich City all the way back in January 2014.

And he says he was glad he put this one in the back of the net having missed a sitter in training.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve scored in the league – about two and a half years. I actually missed an easy one in training, so I’m glad I put that one away,” he told BBC Sport.

Barry will now be hoping that goal is the first of several for him across this season.
It will actually be interesting to see how large a role he has to play under Ronald Koeman, with many having predicted he could find himself on the periphery under the Dutchman.
Instead, the 35-year-old has started both of their games so far, and put in solid performances too, suggesting that he may actually have a big part to play.
