Another game. And another day for Gareth Bale to try and make this currently problematic loan spell at Tottenham work.
Ahead of Tottenham’s mouthwatering FA Cup tie against Everton, the Welshman has posted this three-word Instagram message to supporters.
Whilst game time has been hard to come by for Bale in the Premier League, he will be hoping to be on that starting sheet in the FA Cup tonight.
There will be a familiar name in the opposite dugout for Bale because Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping to stop him from working his magic and helping Spurs progress.
Bale is an expert at ensuring that trophy is over the line and the dead-ball specialist did it in many finals when at Real Madrid.
Tottenham supporters are longing for him to showcase that in North London now and prove that it was the right call to bring him back.
It would be something if Bale can score those vital goals to get Spurs over that trophy line, whether it be in the FA Cup, League Cup or the Europa League.
Either way, tonight’s showdown with Everton will be a very tricky one because they face off against a team that is perhaps even hungrier in wanting to end their own trophy drought.
Given how tough it is to call the Goodison Park clash, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this ends up going to extra-time.
