Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has joked with Sky Sports that he doesn’t see himself joining Wrexham.
Wrexham have been making the headlines in recent weeks, as actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have been pursuing a takeover of the club.
Remarkably, the deal is now going through, with the Wrexham Supporters Trust voting in favour of the takeover with a huge backing at 98.6% of the vote.
The duo now want to make Wrexham a ‘global force’, believing that they can do great things with the club in the coming years.
They currently play in the National League, and finished 19th last season, meaning it will take plenty of time an investment to make this a success.
Still, fans are dreaming of big-name signings in the coming years, and Gareth Bale has been asked about the prospect of pitching up at the Racecourse Ground.

Bale is currently on loan at Tottenham, and many expect him to turn his move from Real Madrid permanent come the end of the season.
The 31-year-old has now admitted that he hopes Reynolds and McElhenney will do ‘good things’ for Wrexham, but ruled out a move there himself – because it’s too far away from Cardiff!
“Hopefully it’s good for Wrexham,” said Bale. “I haven’t read too much about it, but I have read about it. Hopefully they do good things for Wrexham and get them back into the Football League. It’s a bit too far for me, from Cardiff!” he added.
