Gareth Bale has taken to social networking site Twitter to react to Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury in the Euro 2016 final.
The Portugal star was forced off early on the clash with France after a clash with West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet.
It was a disappointing end to the tournament for the Real Madrid star, who was visibly upset at having to leave the field with the injury.

It is the second European Championship final to end in heartbreak for him, having been a part of the side that was famously beaten by Greece at Euro 2004.
There was naturally a huge reaction on Twitter, and one of those to comment was Gareth Bale, saying it was terrible to see his teammate going off in such a manner.
He was not the only one to tweet either as another Real Madrid teammate, Marcelo, tweeted his support for the Portuguese star.

It now remains to be seen what the extent of Ronaldo’s injury is and whether it will see him miss the start of the season for Madrid.
