According to AS, Gareth Bale is considering one final swansong at Real Madrid, despite joining Tottenham on a season-long loan.
Having failed to see eye-to-eye with Zinedine Zidane in Spain, the Wales international rejoined his beloved Tottenham over the summer.
However, Bale is said to be keeping a close eye on developments at the Santiago Bernabeu, and is hoping to spend one final campaign in the Spanish capital.
AS state that, if Zidane is sacked, the door for the Southampton academy graduate to return will be opened even wider.
However, it is also stated that a return could happen anyway, as club president Florentino Perez is a big fan of the forward.

This news comes amid a report from Football London earlier in the season, which reveals Tottenham have the option to extend Bale’s season-long loan deal by another term.
So far this season, the Welshman has struggled to get going, as a result of fitness issues and serious competition for places against the likes of Heung-min Son, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura.

Back in familiar territory, alongside fellow Welshmen in Ben Davies and Joe Rodon, you would presume Bale to be happy in north London – he may well be.
However, you wouldn’t be able to blame him if he wanted to have one more season at Real Madrid, in order to leave on a high rather than quietly sneak out the back.
