That expensive Gareth Bale engine is finally heating up at Tottenham.
Months and months after Spurs were crying out to see the Bale of old, well they are now finally catching a glimpse of his qualities once again.
After Bale netted a brace for Tottenham on Sunday during their 4-0 win against Burnley, the Welshman issued this following message to fans on Instagram: ‘Good day at the office’.
Well, the Spurs faithful will be hoping that Bale turns up at the office a lot more because his qualities are now needed more than ever.
For a number of weeks, Bale has had that spark in his game and against Sean Dyche’s men, he was at his clinical best, without the ball, and then most importantly, with it.
With Europa League games, the fight for Europe in the Premier League and that League Cup final on the horizon, Bale may have just timed his run to form and fitness to perfection.
If the Welshman can be added to the mix of Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane then they will make a lethal trio that will keep many defences awake at night.
After starting back-to-back games for Spurs, it will be interesting if the Welshman is on the teamsheet on Thursday night.
Spurs take on relegation-threatened Fulham, and with previous concerns about Bale’s body and how it will cope, it will be a big call to either leave him out or start him once again.
The simple answer would be to unleash him again because these are now critical moments for Spurs and they cannot afford to hang about.
