Gareth Bale has praised Aaron Ramsey in The Guardian amid speculation linking the midfielder with a move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Bale, who spent the 2020-21 campaign on loan at Tottenham Hotspur from Real Madrid, is pleased to see his Wales international teammate back in full fitness.

The former Arsenal midfielder has had injury problems recently, but he is part of the Wales squad for the Euro 2020 finals.

As covered by us here at HITC Sport,  Calcio Mercato has reported that Arsenal technical director Edu is in talks with Juventus over signing Ramsey in a swap deal involving right-back Hector Bellerin.

Ramsey left Arsenal for Juventus in 2019 and earns £400,000 per week as salary, according to BBC Sport.

Bale told The Guardian about Ramsey: “He hasn’t played too much of late but it’s always good to have good players back in.

“He’s done what he has done for Wales in the past and we are hoping he can perform like normal.”

Aaron Ramsey back to Arsenal?

Ramsey was a big player for Arsenal in his first spell at the Gunners.

The Wales international is a very dynamic midfielder who can score goals, impose himself in the middle of the park, and drives the team forward.

The problem is that Ramsey is on a lot of money, and his injury record is not great either.

The Welshman is also 30.

However, if Ramsey does well at the Euro 2020 finals for Wales and is able to show that he can stay fit, then a return to Arsenal for the midfielder would not be a bad idea, especially if Granit Xhaka leaves.
