Everton picked up their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday, beating West Bromwich Albion 2-1 – and they showed off two new signings in the process.
The Toffees had opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur, but claimed their first Premier League win under new manager Ronald Koeman to kickstart their season.
Gareth McAuley may have put West Brom in front, but Everton railled with Kevin Mirallas equalising on the stroke of half time, before Gareth Barry headed home the winner in the second half.
With four points from the first two games, it’s a strong start for Koeman, and he’ll be particularly pleased to have got two of his new signings on the pitch in the second half.
Winger Yannick Bolasie came on for Gerard Deulofeu after 61 minutes, making his debut having signed from Crystal Palace earlier this month.
The 27-year-old produced a superb cameo, showing off the pace and power that made him such a threat for Palace, whilst he also set up Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku for golden opportunities which went begging.
Late in the game, as Koeman looked to seal the win, he introduced defender Ashley Williams for his Everton debut, following his move from Swansea City.
Williams, 31, only just just over ten minutes but helped Everton see out the game, as the two new Toffees picked up a inw on their debuts.
