The Spurs boss was suspended and in the stands as his side were beaten in Saturday’s Premier League clash at St Mary’s.

Tottenham Hotspur‘s Premier League form continues to nosedive as Southampton ran out 2-1 winners over Mauricio Pochettino’s side on Saturday for a third defeat in four in the league.
Having lost to Burnley and Chelsea before drawing with Arsenal last week, Spurs were hoping to get back to winning ways and were boosted by a successful trip to Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 of the Champions League.
After beating the Bundesliga side 1-0 to cap off a 4-0 aggregate win, there was renewed optimism at St Mary’s, and after Harry Kane scored his 200th career goal in the 26th minute, it looked as though things were going back on track.
However, two Southampton goals in quick succession in the second half saw Spurs lose their lead and then fall behind, Yan Valery pouncing on Danny Rose’s mistake for the hosts’ equaliser on 76 minutes before James Ward-Prowse’s free kick five minutes later.
Tottenham will now need to look beneath them in the table as their top-four hopes are now beginning to be at risk, with Manchester United and Arsenal hoping for victory on Sunday in a bid to catch up to Spurs.
Here are some of the standout photos from St Mary’s, including an aghast-looking Mauricio Pochettino in the stands due to suspension:
