Conor Gallagher has singled out Wilfried Zaha’s masterful showing in Crystal Palace’s 3-0 drubbing of Tottenham Hotspur as the best performance from a teammate he has ever seen.
Zaha’s heroics at Selhurst Park against Spurs
The seasoned winger was at the front and centre of Palace’s annihilation of the North Londoners last September.
From start to finish, Wilfried Zaha tormented Emerson Royal on his first Premier League start at Spurs. The Palace icon’s skills and tricks had the Brazilian on toast the entire evening, as the former put on a show for the home support.
Japhet Tanganga eventually grew frustrated with the 30-year old, which led to a brief scuffle between the pair after a coming together in the second half.
However, Zaha had the last laugh as he stuck away his side’s opener from 12 yards out in the 76th minute.

Despite Odsonne Edouard marking his debut for Patrick Vieira’s side with a brace off the bench, Wilfried Zaha stole the headlines for his masterful performance against Tottenham Hotspur.
Gallagher hails Zaha’s masterclass against Tottenham in 2021
In an interview with JD Official, Conor Gallagher heaped praise on his ex-Crystal Palace teammate for putting in the best-ever display he has ever seen from a player whilst being in the same team.
“He’s [Zaha] is one of them players that can do something out of nothing. For Crystal Palace, he does that a lot and we needed that last season with him, and he scored very important goals.”
Gallagher continued, “The performance that sticks out for to me was the one against Tottenham. We won 3-0 at home. I can’t remember if he scored or not but I just remember him just destroying the right-back constantly, so, that sticks out to my head. That’s why it’s him.”
Any Palace supporter that harks back to their side’s annihilation of Tottenham will concur with Conor Gallagher’s response.
