Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Liverpool’s Dominic Solanke on loan.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Dominic Solanke on loan from Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The British tabloid has also claimed that the 21-year-old England international striker – who earns £25,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is set to join Rangers on loan.
With Umar Sadiq struggling to make an impact at Rangers following his loan move from AS Roma in the summer transfer window, manager Gerrard does need a suitable back-up to strikers Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty for the second half of the season.
However, it seems that Rangers may not have it their own way to bring Solanke to Ibrox in January, as Turkish giants Galatasaray – who are playing in the Champions League this season – are reported to be interested in the former Chelsea prospect.

According to Fotospor, Galatasaray chairman Abdurrahim Albayrak has held discussions with Liverpool officials Michael Gordon and Philip Nash.
It has been reported that talks were mainly regarding the transfer of Divock Orig on loan, the Albayrak did express interest in Solanke as well.
Galatasaray’s reported interest in Solanke does complicate matters for Rangers.
