Rafael van der Vaart has said that Cody Gakpo should move to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal or Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and not to Real Madrid, as quoted in Voetbal International.
Dutchman Van der Vaart, who played for both Tottenham and Real Madrid, believes that Arsenal or Spurs would be better options for PSV winger Gakpo than Los Blancos.
Interestingly, both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the 23-year-old Netherlands international forward.
Eindhovens Dagblad repotted in March that Arsenal are planning to make a move for Gakpo in the summer transfer window.
Also in March, The Express claimed that Tottenham and Liverpool want to sign the versatile Gakpo, who can operate on the left of a front-three, on the left wing, on the right wing, and in central attacking midfield.

Gakpo would make Arsenal better
In our opinion, Gakpo would be a good signing for Arsenal and would make the Gunners better.
Arsenal will need more attacking players for next season and beyond if they finish in the Champions League places.
The 23-year-old has scored 12 goals and given 13 assists in 20 Eredivisie starts for PSV this season.
Gakpo’s versatility in attack would give Arsenal manager Arteta another valuable option.
