Gaetano Berardi reacts to Leeds United defeat to Reading

Leeds United lost against Reading at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United defender Gaetano Berardi has told LUTV that he feels very disappointed with his side’s defeat to Reading.

The West Yorkshire outfit went down 1-0 to Reading at home in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Modou Barrow’s goal in the 84th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at Elland Road.

Berardi, who can operate as a right-back or as a left-back, has admitted his disappointment at the final result.

“I feel bad, of course, and very disappointed,” Berardi told LUTV.

Most Leeds fans will have the same emotions as Berardi. The performance of the Whites was hugely disappointing, and the supporters will be frustrated.

The loss against Reading was Leeds’s third successive in the Championship, and head coach Thomas Christiansen needs to address the situation.

The West Yorkshire outfit are still very much in the race for a place in the playoffs, but it is clear that results and performances need to improve.

Leeds will return to action next weekend when they take on Bristol City away from home in the Championship.
