Leeds United saw Pontus Jansson thrive against Preston North End.

Leeds United remain top of the Championship table after convincingly beating Preston North End 3-0 at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
The Whites saw Liam Cooper put Leeds in front before Tyler Roberts bagged a brace in the second half, his first goals for Leeds.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side were by far the better team, and a host of players starred in the performance, including centre back Pontus Jansson.
The Swede completely dominated Louis Moult in a colossal performance, as he now starts to nail down a spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad having started the campaign on the bench.
However, Jansson’s outstanding showing may end up being bad news for one Leeds ace; defender Gaetano Berardi.
The Swiss defender has reinvented himself under Bielsa, converting from a full back to a centre back, and flourished alongside Cooper in the heart of the Leeds defence.

Berardi picked up an injury before the international break though, and news filtered through last week that he would be missing for a couple of weeks, handing Jansson the chance to play.
With Cooper thriving against all odds and Jansson stepping up in his absence, Berardi now faces a struggle to get back into the Leeds side after missing just two games so far – and this is far from a negative; more a sign of the great options available to Bielsa.
