Arsenal new boy Gabriel Magalhaes has revealed that he’s looking forward to meeting Gabriel Martinelli.

The Gunners signed Gabriel in a £27 million deal from Lille this week.

He is the latest Brazilian to join an Arsenal side that has an increasingly Samba influence.

Gabriel is the second Brazil player to sign for the North Londoners this summer after a Bosman deal for Willian last month.

And with David Luiz and Martinelli already at the Emirates Stadium, there’s plenty of influence from the great footballing nation in Mikel Arteta’s side.

Martinelli is one of the most exciting teenagers in Europe after scoring 10 goals during a brilliant maiden season at Arsenal.

And Gabriel has revealed that he’s looking forward to teaming up with the young striker.

He said to the club’s official website: “It is always good to have Brazilian players at the club to welcome me, it is very important for me. I don’t speak English very well and I will try to learn as fast as I can.

“Nicolas Pepe is also a good friend of mine, also David they messaged me and welcomed me, this is very important to me and makes me very happy. I cannot wait to meet the rest of the squad, Willian and Gabriel Martinelli too.”

Edu’s influence is clear here.

Since Arsenal hired their former midfielder as a technical director last summer, more and more Brazilian talents have been added to the squad.

And with Edu having complete control over transfers now following the exit of Raul Sanllehi in August, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he has more South American talents up his sleeve.
