Paul Merson has claimed in The Daily Star that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool would not have Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus in their team.
The former Arsenal star believes that City forward Jesus is not good enough to play for Liverpool.
The Sky Sports pundit made the comments about the 24-year-old Brazil international forward ahead of the Premier League game between Liverpool and City this weekend.
Merson wrote in The Daily Star: “Failing to buy a proper striker could come back to bite them.
“I like Gabriel Jesus but he wouldn’t play for Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG or Liverpool would he?”

Jesus is not as prolific as Sergio Aguero or Harry Kane, but we cannot deny that the Brazilian is a very good attacking player.
City manager Pep Guardiola described Jesus as “exceptional” on the club’s official website in August.
Guardiola is using the 24-year-old out wide, and it is working for both the club and the player.
The City no.9 has scored two goals and provided three assists in five Premier League starts, and has scored one goal in 21 Champions League minutes so far this season.
Now, it is hard to see Jesus get ahead of Mohamed Salah in the Liverpool team, but if the Brazilian were to move to the Reds, then we can be certain that manager Jurgen Klopp will find a place for him in the team.
