Brazil international Gabriel Jesus has admitted that he was initially in ‘doubt’ about securing a transfer to Arsenal from Manchester City.
But the 26-year-old shared that Arsenal’s sporting director Edu Gaspar and manager Mikel Arteta convinced him to join and then ‘the job was done’.
That’s when Arsenal were able to announce the £45 million capture of Gabriel Jesus in the summer (Sky Sports), with Oleksandr Zinchenko also moving from the Etihad.

Fast forward to the present and Pep Guardiola must be thinking he made a mistake because of who is pushing them for the Premier League title.
It’s not Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, their neighbours Manchester United or big-spending Chelsea, but a team that finished fifth last term.
A player like Jesus has helped change the mentality at the Emirates and he spoke about when he first joined, as he told Football Focus.
“I had a very good and important chat with Edu,” said Jesus. “I was in doubt (about signing).
“But, after I talked to him (Edu) and Mikel (Arteta) and the job was done.”

JESUS BACK FOR THE CRUCH MOMENTS
Manchester City are steaming behind Arsenal and putting pressure on the leaders in the duo’s quest to become champions of England.
Arsenal hold a five-point lead, but face some very tricky fixtures and trips, starting with their visit to Merseyside to take on out-of-sorts Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield.
Jesus has been back from injury for a number of weeks now, so you would expect he will try to put the cherry on Arsenal’s cake.
