Gabriel Magalhaes has told Sky Sports the Arsenal players are striving to give Mikel Arteta everything he deserves as reward for his efforts in charge.
Arteta oversaw a change in fortunes in north London last month after a disastrous start to the season. The Gunners won all four of their fixtures across all competitions, including a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
A vastly contrasting run to August, when Arsenal lost all three Premier League games without scoring. They ended the month bottom of the table, while also only winning in the Carabao Cup against West Brom.

Gabriel missed Arsenal’s run of defeats, with Arteta only able to call on the 23-year-old after the international break. The Brazilian started the season on the sidelines after injuring his knee while competing at the Olympics.
Arsenal have only conceded once with Gabriel on the field, and he hopes the players can now reward Arteta. The £96k-a-week tactician pleases the centre-half, and Gabriel believes Arteta deserves success.
“He is a top guy, who is always helping out his players and his staff,” Gabriel said. “He supports us during tough times and I’m very happy to be coached by him.
“Without doubt, I’m learning a lot from him. He helps us a lot on the pitch, in terms of deciding how we are set up and the systems we use. He guides us forward, but he also asks us questions about what we think might be best for the team.
“The communication, in general, between the players and the manager is very good. We want to do well for him because that’s exactly what he deserves. We see that he enjoys what he does, and we want to achieve great things together.”

What sort of success can Gabriel help Arteta achieve at Arsenal this season?
Arsenal enjoying any success this season appeared questionable at the end of August, but Gabriel helped Arteta turn the tide. The Gunners now prepare to face Brighton on Saturday as the form side in the Premier League.
No other top-flight club took nine points from a possible nine in September, while only three sides scored more often. Liverpool hit nine goals, while Chelsea and Manchester United fired home six to Arsenal’s five. While only Man City conceded fewer (zero to one).
Gabriel will hope Arsenal’s form throughout the month continues if the north Londoners are to reward Arteta. Especially with an international break following their trip to the south coast this weekend.
