Batistuta was referring to star men Mohamed Salah and Naby Keita, who missed the game through injury.

Andy Robertson was forced off with injury too during the game, although this worked out in Liverpool’s favour.

Georginio Wijnaldum came on and scored twice, in between goals from Divock Origi.

Liverpool are just one game away from winning a sixth Champions League crown. The final takes place on June 1 in Madrid.
