Argentine legend comments on Leeds’ boss actions.

Whenever Marcelo Bielsa does anything good or bad, the repercussions are heard around the world.
His decision in the weekend clash between Leeds United and Aston Villa was a case in point.
After Leeds scored when an Aston Villa player was down injured, he allowed the Villans to score an equaliser.
His former Argentina player Gabriel Batistuta has weighed in Bielsa’s actions.
He gave lukewarm praise to Bielsa, suggesting he did what was to be expected.
Commenting on Twitter, Batistuta said: “It was not a historical decision of Marcelo Bielsa, he simply did what is ethically appropriate.”

It was a different take to the one offered by former Paraguay goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert earlier in the week.
Chilavert had reacted angrily, and criticised Bielsa for not speaking up previously over an incident in South America 18 years ago, via Argentine outlet Ole.
The reaction shows the attention globally which Marcelo Bielsa has brought to Leeds.
It’s why the club is so desperate to capitalise on the Bielsa effect and clinch promotion to the Premier League.
