West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing the striker.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini brought a whole host of new faces into the club during the summer transfer window, but it could be argued that he still requires more firepower in the final third.
According to Goal Brasil, one of Pellegrini’s key targets in January is Inter Milan owned hitman Gabriel Barbosa, commonly known as ‘Gabigoal’.
The 22-year-old is currently plying his trade in his home country of Brazil, after joining Santos on a season-log loan deal in January of this year.
Gabigoal can play anywhere along the front-line, but he is most comfortable when operating in the number 10 position just behind the main striker.
The 5ft 9in forward has blistering pace and he possesses exceptional technique.
He did struggle during his time with Inter Milan, but he was hardly given an opportunity, making just 10 appearances for the Serie A giants.

Gabigoal is also an exceptional finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity, hence his nickname, and his clinical nature, combined with his creative nouse, would undoubtedly help West Ham improve upon the potency of their play in the final third.
The Brazilian is valued at just £7.2 million, according to Transfer Markt, and if the Hammers somehow manage to obtain his signature for somewhere in the region of that price, it would surely be considered as a real bargain for the east London outfit.
