Everton should consider revisiting their interest in the Inter Milan hitman this summer.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton boss Marco Silva will be desperate to sign an established goalscorer before the transfer window closes next week.

The Toffees are close to securing the services of Juventus forward Moise Kean and Flamengo midfield prodigy Reinier, although the latter won’t join the club until January, according to to Globo Esporte in Brazil.

It could be argued that Everton still need another striker, however, and Inter Milan’s Gabriel Barbosa could be a great option for them.

The Merseyside outfit were interested in signing the Brazilian last year, according to Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web, and now could be the perfect time for them to revisit their interest in the striker.

Pace

Gabigoal has blistering pace over short distances, and this makes him the perfect fit for Silva’s swashbuckling, high-octane setup at Goodison Park.

The South American could form a devastating partnership with his fellow countryman Richarlison and Bernard.

Age and potential

At just 22, the Inter front-man still has plenty of years left ahead of him in the game, and Silva might just be able to get the best out of him.

He is far from the finished article, but if he continues to improve, he really could go on to become a world star.

He’s allegedly available for a bargain

According to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, Gabigoal could be available for just £14.5 million this summer, and in today’s market, that would represent an absolute steal for Everton.

The Brazilian could be on the verge of blowing up into a superstar, and for the reported fee of just £14.5 million, Everton must take a punt on the talented forward this summer.
