Gabriel Barbosa has reportedly decided to snub Chelsea.

According to reports from UOL, Brazilian youngster Gabriel Barbosa has rejected the advances of Premier League giants Chelsea.
Chelsea may have splashed a whopping £33 million to secure the services of Belgian international striker Michy Batshuayi recently but with the future of Diego Costa in doubt (Daily Mail), it is believed that the Blues are in the market to sign another striker this summer.

Wonderkid Gabriel Barbosa has long been touted as a target for Chelsea (The Sun) and now Brazilian outlet UOL have gone on to provide an update regarding the Blues’ pursuit for the 19-year-old.
The report state that Chelsea had tabled a bid in the region of around £25 million for Barbosa but any prospective transfer looks unlikely to come into fruition as the young striker has rejected the advances of the Blues and is committed to staying put at Santos for the time being.

Barbosa is considered as one of the finest young players to have emerged from Brazilian football in recent times and the striker managed to prove his worth during the Copa America Centenario in the United States earlier in the summer.
As a result, missing out on such a talented young player will be a big blow for Chelsea and the snub can be compared to the Blues’ failed pursued of Neymar a couple of years ago (Daily Mirror).
