Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has raved about Gabriel for his performance against Burnley today, as quoted on the club’s official website.

Arteta has said that Brazilian defender Gabriel was “terrific” for Arsenal in their 1-0 win against the Clarets away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League.

The Arsenal boss has outlined that the team have missed the 23-year-old Brazilian defender when he has not played this season.

The Spaniard has added that the youngster has “an incredible future”.

Arteta told Arsenal’s official website about Gabriel: “Yes but we didn’t have him, so we don’t know how much we missed him.

“We know that he’s a player with an incredible future and is already giving us a lot. He has adapted really well to the league. That’s why we signed him.

“He is stepping in, his language is much better and he can coach and communicate much better with with his teammates.

“He understands what we want and I don’t think it gets much harder than playing here in the Premier League. He was terrific today.”

How did Gabriel play?

Arsenal were not particularly great going on the attack, but the Gunners were solid at the back.

It is very encouraging for the Arsenal fans that the Gunners could keep a clean sheet yet again.

Arsenal won 1-0 against Norwich City in the Premier League last weekend.
