Speaking on TalkSPORT’s YouTube channel, Gabriel Agbonlahor has predicted where Aston Villa and Leeds United will finish in the Premier League this season.
Agbonlahor is of course a Villa legend, so he may be biased towards the Midlands club, but he’s made a very modest prediction for Dean Smith’s side, claiming that they will finish 11th this time around.
Meanwhile, the former England international has been embroiled in a bit of a feud with Leeds United fans over the past 12 months, and he’s predicted the Whites to finish one place behind Villa this season in 12th.
What’s been said?
Agbonlahor spoke about Villa and Leeds’ final positions this term.
“So, I can understand that statement, top 10 this season is going to be very hard, a lot of teams have strengthened. Aston Villa last season were on fire with Jack Grealish in the team, this season they haven’t got him. It might take the new signings some time to get up to their game, so I can see where you’re coming from Darren, so I’m thinking 11th, Leeds United 12th behind Aston Villa,” Agbonlahor said.

Disappointing seasons
Both Leeds and Aston Villa would have to feel disappointed if they finished in the bottom half this term.
Leeds managed a top 10 finish last time around, and while Villa did finish 11th last season, they will be hoping to build on that despite losing Jack Grealish.
However, as Agbonlahor says, other teams have also strengthened. Everton are looking stronger, Crystal Palace have made some decent additions while things seem to finally be clicking for Brighton under Graham Potter.
Leeds and Villa could indeed be in for a couple of mid-table finishes this term.
