Aston Villa wanted to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United
Villa reportedly made enquiries with the Red Devils over a potential deal for the £190,000-a-week (The Sun) defender.
The Villans were reportedly looking for a replacement for the injured Tyrone Mings at the time.
However, no move happened.
Maguire is still at United.
And, the England international was in action on Saturday.

Manchester United scored two goals deep into injury time to beat Brentford 2-1 at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
Maguire started the match for the Red Devils.
The 30-year-old gave the assist for Scott McTominay’s second goal for Erik ten Hag’s side.
It was Maguire’s first start in the Premier League since May.
The former Leicester City star is essentially a squad player at United now, but he got his chance on Saturday due to injury issues.
The 30-year-old did look rusty at times, but he did not make any notable mistakes at the back and kept it simple.
