Leeds United slumped to another big defeat on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were thumped 4-1 away to Crystal Palace on a day where Patrick Bamford’s controverisal disallowed goal made headlines.

But there’s no getting away from the volume of goals that Leeds are conceding right now, having also shipped four in the defeat by Leicester City at Elland Road earlier in the week.

In eight Premier League games, the Whites have let a whopping 17 goals in already.

Bielsa used Liam Cooper, Robin Koch and Luke Ayling in a three-man defence in both defeats by the Foxes and Palace.

And Agbonlahor has claimed on talkSPORT’s Gameday program, broadcast 7/11, that he doesn’t believe the trio are good enough for the Premier League right now, while also criticising Bielsa for not tailoring his tactics to specific teams.

He said: “Bielsa has to change his tactics for different games. You can’t press every team and be so open. That’s what Leeds were.

“You play three centre-halves who for me aren’t good enough for the Premier League and they need protection. You can’t be conceding four goals every game in the Premier League and beat teams 5-4.”

In Leeds’ defence, they haven’t seen much of Diego Llorente as of yet.

He was arguably the best and most distinguished defender that Bielsa brought in during the summer, but the Spain stalwart hasn’t kicked a ball in England yet after picking up an injury on international duty.

When he is back, the likes of Cooper and Koch – both natural centre-backs, as opposed to Ayling who is a right-back by trade – might well improve alongside somebody of Llorente’s vintage.
