Gabby Agbonlahor hit out at Robbie Savage on Twitter for being ‘salty’ following his comments about Aston Villa’s drama-filled defeat at Manchester City on Wednesday night.

It was a pretty entertaining game at the Etihad Stadium up until controversy hit with ten minutes left on the clock.

Man City midfielder Rodri came onside from an offside position to take the ball off Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings before feeding goalscorer Bernardo Silva.

This didn’t sit down well with ex-Villa striker Agbonlahor, who made his feelings clear about the BT Sport pundit on his social media account.

For a players heal being offside in previous matches to allowing Silva’s goal yesterday just sums up where football is at.

The rules are a farce, the officiating is even worse and it’s putting a bad name on a system – VAR – that isn’t being put to good use.

Whilst all the talk was about that non-offside, Villa had a penalty awarded against them when Matty Cash was adjudged to have handled the ball even thought the ball hit his hand rather than the other way around.
