Former Aston Villa captain Gabby Agbonlahor has given an exciting seven-word verdict on Bertrand Traore, who is reportedly close to joining from Lyon.
When asked what he thought of the striker, the ex-Villan wrote on Twitter: “Great player! Quick strong and can score!!!”
Dean Smith’s side has reportedly agreed a £17 million fee plus £2 million in add-ons for the former Chelsea attacker, who knows Villa coach John Terry from their time together at Stamford Bridge.
Traore had a slightly underwhelming campaign in Ligue 1 last season, scoring just one goal while grabbing three assists.

However, only a few years ago he lit up France’s top flight with 13 goals and four assists in 2017/18. He also netted four Europa League goals that term.
The Burkina Faso international also boasts Champions League experience but will need a visa to travel to the UK.
If Agbonlahor rates him, Villa fans should listen up.

After all, this is a man with 391 appearances and 86 goals under his belt for the club, who is also a three-cap England international.
He knows his stuff, and if the ex-Villa star is getting excited over Traore, there’s no reason for the Villa Park faithful not to feel the same way.
