Gabbidon blasts West Ham on Twitter after Watford loss

West Ham seemed helpless to avoid a 2-0 defeat by Watford on Sunday afternoon.

Daniel Gabbidon has launched a blistering attack on West Ham via his Twitter account after the Hammers seemed powerless to prevent Watford from winning 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Goals from Will Hughes and Richarlison succumbed the Hammers to another loss in David Moyes’ first game in charge, despite plenty of chances for the east Londoners throughout the match.

Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes produced a number of outstanding saves to deny Cheikhou Kouyate and Marko Arnautovic, while Manuel Lanzini had an effort cleared off the line by the Hornets.

Former West Ham defender Gabbidon was left exasperated on Twitter, venting his frustrating at his old side’s performance by claiming the Hammers had “zero attacking thought” among other things as well as stating “much for Moyes to ponder”.

West Ham are left in 18th place with just two wins from 12 league outings, which has already seen them sack former manager Slaven Bilic prior to the international break.

Moyes must now dust himself down and prepare his squad for Friday night’s clash against 2015-16 Premier League champions Leicester City, as the Hammers return to the London Stadium.
