‘Future star’: Leeds fans excited by £1.3m signing who will ‘scare Prem defenders’

Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter following the signing of Crysencio Summerville from Feyenoord for a reported fee of £1.3 million, according to the Sun.

The 18-year-old has signed a three-year contract at Elland Road, and will add to the many exciting youth prospects signed by Marcelo Bielsa in this window.

Leeds have already secured the signatures of youngsters such as Joe Gelhardt, Cody Drameh and Sam Greenwood, all of whom are potential stars of the future.

Summerville has been capped five times for the Netherlands U19 side, scoring an impressive six goals in those outings according to Transfermarkt.

Additionally, the attacker has been capped at U16, U17 and U18 levels for his country.

The same site states that he can operate as a left-forward or centre-forward along with his natural role on the right.

Such versatility will surely be attractive to Bielsa.

Last season, the teenager scored two goals and grabbed three assists in the Eredivisie while on loan at ADO Den Haag, where he made 21 appearances.
