Celtic defender has gone backwards over the past year.

Celtic defender Anthony Ralston continues to struggle to get into Brendan Rodgers’ first team.
This time last year he was featuring for Celtic in the Champions League, famously clashing with Neymar as the side were torn apart by PSG.
Ralston can’t get a kick this year, yet to make a single appearance in 2018/19.
It is all the more worrying considering the inconsistent form of Mikael Lustig and Cristian Gamboa.
Neither player look convincing week to week at right-back, yet Ralston can’t get a look in.
He has been playing for the under-20s, which is a real comedown after his early progress last season.
Brendan Rodgers has lost faith in him, a sign shown when he loaned him out to Dundee United in March.
His failure to get a chance this year is a worrying sign for his Celtic future, even though he only turns 20 next month.

Right-back is a problem position Celtic could do with addressing in the transfer window, which would make his task even tougher.
It seems remarkable then to look back at Ralston being linked by ESPN with moves to Tottenham and Everton last September.
Both clubs were reported to be monitoring Ralston’s developments.
Unfortunately for him, there’s little positive to report.
